for our children
for our community
for our island we call home
Breeani Kobayashi has dedicated her life to working to uplift a Hawaii County that is safe, vibrant, and valued by our leaders. All around the Big Island, residents should be heard and empowered, and people should have access to the resources and care they need. Our county should be a place where home ownership is feasible and our people feel they can afford to stay to raise their children and run their businesses; confident in the healthcare, education, and opportunities available. Let's build and invest in a community all of our people will continue feeling proud to call home, excited for progress, and ensured in our future.

LET'S BUILD SOMETHING TOGETHER
with the people,
for the people
Ready for
change
All who have been blessed to call the Big Island home know how special this community is. We are an island of hard-working, caring, intelligent people; who have proven time and time again how resilient and strong we are, especially when we come together in common purpose. We take care of each other, we have patience, and we are understanding. However, there are many issues the people in our community are left to support each other through, that should not bear such heavy challenges to overcome.
So many of us have watched our neighbors, our friends, and our loved ones struggle; or experienced difficulties ourselves. Whether it's with healthcare, work and finances, childcare, or housing - we see hardship and wish we had more power to help; to change the circumstances and make things better for people important to us. Maybe it hasn't always felt like it, maybe at times there are those who forget, but we do have power in this - you have power. You have power in choice. In your voice. In determining who will advocate for you and your needs. You have power to support a leader that will represent the best interests of the people as decisions are made about where our priorities stand and what progress should look like for the future of our county.

If the events of the last few years have shown us anything, it's that not everyone has the luxury of limitless time to await resolutions. There are gaps in the care and resources available to us - care and resources our people deserve. There are deficiencies that have led to an increasing perception of lack of opportunities for young people. Doubts in the affordability of the future of our island for local families and viability for small businesses. Questions as to transparency and trust in county leadership, and how we move forward balancing conservation with development and consumerism. We understand that change can take time, but perhaps it also takes motivated, intentional leaders; innovating and relentlessly pursuing progress, to make meaningful differences for the future of our county. To make those differences for people needing them now.
